Kids' Classes
The Sewin’Asylum offers sewing classes for children ages 8 and up. We offer project specific classes and Sewing Labs.
The following classes are “project-specific” classes that are suitable for all levels of sewing ability. In most classes the materials are included unless specified. The Sewin’Asylum offers sewing classes for children ages 8 and up. Frog Pillow- Ribbit Ribbit- this pillow has such a cute character! Stitch a grin using rick-rack and give this cuddly pillow its own sense of style. $25

The Sewing Lab allows the students to work on a project of their choice. This allows the students to work at their own pace on an individual project. New students start with a drawstring bag and then progress onto a pair of pj pants. From there the students can pick their own project with guidance from the instructor. The successive projects chosen may take longer than the 3-week session. Classes meet three times a month, two hours each week. In addition to the weekly classes, we are now offering a Saturday class that meets the second Saturday of the month for 3 hours. Erica Doyle, Instructor

Second Saturday Lab This is the same as the Mon-Fri labs, just a longer time on Saturday. 2pm-5pm $25 (each meeting) September 11 October 9 November 13 December 11
Class Policies In order to give you the best possible class experience, The Sewin'Asylum has the following policies: 1. To enroll in a class, you may reserve your space with a credit card or payment by cash/check 2. If you must cancel a class, please do so 24 hours prior to the class. A failure to do so, you will forfeit a refund. 3. We understand that unexpected events can prevent a student from attending a class in a session. If you are not able to attend, please contact The Sewin'Asylum at least two hours prior to the start time of the class. No credits or refunds are given for unattended classes or once a class session has started. When you contact us prior to a missed class, we will do our best to arrange a make-up, however, we cannot guarantee a make-up date will be available. 4. Class dates and times are listed in the class schedule and on the website. If you are unable to attend all of the class, you are still responsible for the full class fee. No make-ups are given for missed class time. 5. We have sewing machines available for student use during class time. The student will be responsible for providing their own needle and bobbin. 6. Our class time is dedicated to our registered students. We cannot accommodate under-age visitors without a parental consent form. |
